The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, has described Ghana as a key partner in the region, particularly in terms of economic exchange.

During his official welcoming into Ghana, he acknowledged the longstanding relationship between the two nations, emphasizing that their trade exchange had reached over $33 million.

Despite Ghana’s temporary financial challenges, President Pavel stressed that the Czech Republic sees great potential for further expanding this cooperation.

According to him, the Czech Republic is committed to enhancing collaboration in areas that will benefit both countries.

He noted that this cooperation should create and maintain added value in the countries where it is produced.

The aim, he explained, is to work together on shared goals and build common capabilities that will support Ghana’s industry, agriculture, and society.

President Pavel further highlighted the delegation of Czech business leaders accompanying him, who are focused on sectors such as food processing, healthcare, mining, agriculture, and water quality.

He emphasized that there are numerous other sectors where both countries could collaborate.

In addition, he expressed his excitement about the opportunity to open a window to Czech technologies, which will be accessible to all Ghanaian citizens and businesses interested in exploring what the Czech Republic has to offer.

This initiative, he said, marks a promising step in the continued strengthening of the partnership between the two nations.
