The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has dismissed claims circulating on social media regarding purported excerpts from the report submitted by the Prof. Mike Oquaye-led committee.

In a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Saturday, April 19, 2025, Mr. Kodua categorically stated that the NPP has neither disclosed nor released any portion of the committee’s report to any individual or organ of the party.

“For the avoidance of doubt, only ONE COPY of the Report was prepared, and this copy was what was submitted to the National Council through the National Chairman and General Secretary,” he clarified.

He added that the party is currently reviewing the contents of the report and will determine whether any part of it should be made public in due time, based on what best serves the interest of the party.

Mr. Kodua also refuted the authenticity of quotes and supposed page numbers being circulated in sections of the media and on social platforms, suggesting that these are fabrications by political opponents aimed at stirring controversy within the NPP.

“All such quotes are, therefore, totally FAKE and should be completely DISREGARDED,” he emphasized.

He pointed fingers at activists and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the likely originators of the alleged misinformation, describing it as a “mischievous” attempt to distract the NPP from its rebuilding efforts ahead of the 2028 elections.

Despite what he described as deliberate attempts to sow confusion, the NPP General Secretary reiterated the party’s commitment to reorganizing and regaining political power in the near future.
