Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, has vowed to arrest the soldier allegedly involved in a deadly shooting of civilians at Nyinahin in the Ashanti Region.

This tragic incident claimed one life and injured three others, sparking widespread calls for justice.

During a visit to the affected community, DCOP Teye-Cudjoe condemned the shooting as a criminal act and promised a thorough investigation to hold the perpetrator accountable.

He emphasized impartiality in the process and reassured the public that the actions of one soldier should not tarnish the reputation of the Ghana Armed Forces.

The confrontation reportedly took place between military personnel and mourners, raising concern about excessive use of force by uniformed officers.

The Chief of Nyinahin, Nana Amapene Boateng Twum II, has urged the police to ensure justice and punish the culprit, stating that no one is above the law. Both the police and the community are determined to see justice served.
