Supporters of Kennedy Agyapong have issued a strong response to comments made by Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe Abronye, during a radio and TV appearance on Wontumi Media.

In a press statement, Agyapong’s supporters described Abronye’s remarks about the former presidential aspirant as “regrettable and disappointing,” warning that such statements undermine party unity and discipline.

The statement expressed concern over the potential for internal instability if such attacks are not curtailed, noting that they could provoke reactions from Agyapong’s supporters.

The release, signed by Prince Adjei – Guy Gee, Personal Assistant to Kennedy Agyapong emphasized the values of “peace, discipline, and unity,” urging all supporters to exercise restraint and not retaliate.

“We respectfully urge all Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong supporters to exercise restraint and refrain from responding in kind,” the statement read.

They added that the party must focus on its true political rival, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), rather than engaging in internal strife.

While affirming that the Agyapong camp has forgiven Abronye, the statement also called on party members to be more mindful of their public commentary, especially regarding fellow party members.

The supporters praised Ken Agyapong for his consistent loyalty and discipline, reiterating his commitment to the NPP’s cause. They called on all party members to unite ahead of the 2028 elections to ensure victory and national progress.
