President John Dramani Mahama is set to deliver a special national broadcast on Wednesday, May 7, providing a comprehensive update on his administration’s 120-day contract and key milestones.

The announcement was made by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State for Government Communications, who encouraged citizens to tune in and assess the President’s performance.

“On Wednesday, the President will hold a broadcast in which he will render accounts for his stewardship in the last four months or 120 days. Therefore, I urge Ghanaians to tune in and listen to the President so that they can draw their own conclusions as to the level of compliance with the promises he made”.

According to Kwakye Ofosu, the address is expected to showcase major developments under Mahama’s 120-day action plan, including; restructuring of government to achieve a leaner administration and cut public expenditure, hosting of a National Economic Dialogue and an Education Dialogue to shape policy direction.

It will also highlight the launch of environmental initiatives, including “Tree for Life” and “Blue Water”, and the rollout of the “One Million Coders” programme to enhance digital skills and youth employment.

Additionally, the President will speak on the establishment of the Mahama Cares Health Fund, abolition of E-Levy, Bet Tax, and Emissions Levy, funding of the Women’s Development Bank, as well as the introduction of a Code of Conduct for government appointees.

Kwakye Ofosu noted that Mahama would also unveil new initiatives and provide updates on outstanding commitments during the broadcast.
