In a bold step to ease financial burdens on students, the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced a new initiative aimed at reimbursing academic user fees for first-year students enrolled in public tertiary institutions for the 2024/2025 academic year.

The policy, dubbed “No Fees Stress,” will see SLTF reimburse user fees for eligible students pursuing accredited diploma or degree programs. This initiative aligns with directives from the Ministry of Education and reflects the government’s continued commitment to investing in Ghana’s youth and human capital.

In a statement released on Monday, May 12 by the SLTF, reimbursements will begin next month, June.

The CEO of the Fund, Dr. Saajida Shiraz, emphasized that this move not only supports students but also echoes the broader goals of the John Dramani Mahama administration to ensure access to quality education and a brighter future for Ghanaian youth.

She urged all eligible first-year students to promptly submit their applications through the dedicated portal at https://nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh. Applications will be validated against admission records from public tertiary institutions.

The SLTF encourages all qualifying students to act swiftly to take advantage of this opportunity and secure their reimbursements.
