Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former boss of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), remains in custody despite completing his court-ordered seven-day remand.

His lawyer, Samuel Atta Akyea, informed the High Court on May 13 that his client had been rearrested on a separate matter shortly after his initial detention period expired.

While details surrounding the new arrest remain unclear, the Attorney General previously indicated that Adu-Boahene was under investigation for an internet connectivity case involving Ghana Water Limited.

His legal troubles continue to mount as multiple allegations—including stealing, money laundering, and causing financial loss to the state—take center stage.

Adu-Boahene was initially remanded on May 2 over accusations of witness tampering in a case involving the alleged diversion of GH¢49.1 million.

The High Court has since scheduled a case management conference for May 26, where proceedings will be further outlined.

With the state having filed all witness statements, the defense is expected to receive full disclosures by May 20.
