NYA warns against unauthorized sale of National Apprenticeship Programme forms

The National Youth Authority (NYA) has issued a strong warning against the unauthorized sale of application forms for the National Apprenticeship Programme, describing the act as fraudulent and unlawful.

The initiative, launched by President John Dramani Mahama in Tamale, aims to empower Ghanaian youth with marketable skills for sustainable livelihoods.

The application process is entirely free, as emphasized by the President during the launch.

Reports indicate that certain individuals have been charging unsuspecting applicants for access to these forms.

In response, the NYA has launched an investigation to identify and hold accountable those involved in such exploitative practices.

In a statement, Osman Ayariga Esq., Acting Chief Executive Officer of NYA, reiterated that any person or group found extorting money from applicants will face legal consequences.

“The National Apprenticeship Programme was designed to support young people, not to burden them with unfair costs”.

To ensure transparency, the NYA urges the public to report any such incidents to its district and regional offices or local authorities.
