The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has reaffirmed its commitment to strategic investments and operational expansion, including plans to enhance its hospitality assets and introduce virtual service options.

Speaking on the future of SSNIT hotels at the launch of its 53rd branch at Adentan, Kwesi Afreh Biney, Director-General of SSNIT, clarified that no final decision has been made regarding their sale.

“We haven’t made up our minds to sell SSNIT hotels. However, we have given Labadi Beach Hotel the approval to expand its rooms to 100”.

Beyond infrastructure expansion, Mr. Afreh Biney stated that, SSNIT is looking into new investment opportunities and urging stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions.

“We are looking at other investments and calling on all stakeholders to come together—let’s reason together”.

In addition to physical developments, SSNIT is set to establish a virtual office, a move designed to enhance accessibility and streamline social security services.

This initiative aims to offer members flexible, digital solutions, ensuring that contributions, inquiries, and benefits processing can be handled seamlessly from any location.

Mohammed Adams Ramadan, Member of Parliament for Adentan highlighted the significance of the branch in his constituency.

“This expansion represents a major step in enhancing reach and convenience for residents seeking social security services. By decentralizing access, SSNIT is reinforcing its role as a people-centered institution that truly understands the needs of its members.”

He further emphasized that’s SSNIT’s mission aligns with government’s reset agenda.

“SSNIT’s presence in Adentan aligns with the government’s reset agenda, which champions inclusivity and excellence in service delivery.
