The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has launched its 53rd branch in Adentan, Greater Accra, aimed at enhancing accessibility and providing greater convenience for its members and the public.

Speaking at the inauguration, SSNIT’s General Manager of Operations, Philip Kofi Senyah, emphasized the organization’s commitment to improving customer service.

“We have the opportunity to open a new branch to better serve our members and the public”.

Highlighting the importance of the new office, he added, “The Adentan branch represents another significant step in our efforts to bring our services closer to you by ensuring greater convenience, improving accessibility, and enhancing customer service.”

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA), Victor Azuma Mejida, has praised the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) for its commitment to improving accessibility and service delivery in Ghana’s pensions sector.

Speaking on behalf of the NPRA CEO at the commissioning of SSNIT’s 53rd branch in Adentan, Mejida emphasized the significance of the expansion.

“The establishment of these new branches is a step in the right direction, which demonstrates SSNIT’s unwavering commitment to enhancing effectiveness, accessibility, and improving service delivery for Ghana’s pension sector”.

Mejida reiterated the shared responsibility between NPRA and SSNIT in ensuring financial security for retirees.

“The NPRA and SSNIT have a collective duty to ensure that all workers in Ghana retire in dignity and with income security”.

He further stressed the importance of trust in the pension system, calling for modernization through technology and infrastructure development.

“While SSNIT, as a key player, has continued to demonstrate leadership in the administration of pensions, it is important to emphasize the need to build trust within the pension system. This requires modernizing pension services through technology, decentralization, and infrastructural development”.

The new branch is expected to offer a wide range of SSNIT services, including pension processing, contribution inquiries, and social security registration for workers and businesses in the Adentan area.
