Former Deputy Minister for Works and Housing and former Member of Parliament for Subin, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has issued a strong call for unity and strategic planning within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as it prepares for the 2028 elections.
Speaking on Happy FM’s EPA Ho Daben, Boakye emphasized that winning in 2028 would not be automatic but would require discipline, data, and a direction.
He stressed that it is time for the party’s leadership to set aside post-election misunderstandings that have historically caused divisions and weakened its electoral performance.
“It must not happen that after every election, there are some pettiness and misunderstandings within the NPP. If we do not come together and reason as national executive committee members to resolve these issues, the party will continue to struggle”.
He urged the party’s General Secretary to ensure orderliness in both the presidential and parliamentary primaries, emphasizing that maintaining discipline within the electoral process would be crucial for the party’s success in the next national polls.
