The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has urged Ghanaians to earnestly seek divine intervention to cleanse the nation of corruption, moral decline, and detrimental practices that continue to hinder its development.

He made this appeal while addressing congregants at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Day service held at the Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) in Kumasi on Tuesday, July 1.

Dr. Amoakohene noted that the challenges facing the country transcend politics and policy and therefore require spiritual solutions to restore righteousness, integrity, and accountability in both public and private life.

He expressed hope that God would heal the nation from corruption and all forms of societal decay and called for unity of purpose among citizens to support Ghana’s development agenda.

“As the Scripture came, with my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heavens and I will forgive their sins and heal their land. As we are gathered here today, we pray that God heals our lands from all the rots, from all the corrupt activities and for all the things that destroys this country. And we seek that God gives us one heart of purpose of unity that will drive our national developmental agenda,” he said.
