In a demonstration of support for Ghana’s budding agripreneurs, Farmer Globale, in partnership with Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), has commenced the distribution of vital agricultural start-up kits to youth beneficiaries under the Youth Elevate Agripreneurial Project. The distribution took place from May 9th to 16th, 2025, across Central and South Tongu districts, Ho Municipal, and Ho-West districts all in the Volta Region.

The distribution ceremony was attended by local authorities, traditional leaders, and community members, who expressed their appreciation for the continued investment in youth-led agribusiness.

The Youth Elevate Agripreneurial Project focuses on empowering rural youth through skills training, mentorship, and enterprise development, with a special emphasis on inclusive growth, particularly for women and persons with disabilities (PWDs). This initiative aims to equip selected young farmers with the essential tools and inputs needed to launch or scale their agribusiness ventures. From protective gear and farm tools to inputs, each kit is carefully curated to meet the practical needs of early stage agripreneurs.

We believe that with the right resources and tools, young people can lead Ghana’s agricultural transformation,” highlighted Mr. Frederick Kukubor, Managing Partner at Farmer Globale.

“At KIC, we are happy to collaborate with Farmer Globale to equip young people with start-up kits as they make a difference in promoting sustainable agriculture,” emphasized Mr. Benjamin Gyan-Kesse, Executive Director of KIC.

As KIC and its partners continue to champion innovation and youth inclusion in agriculture, initiatives like this reaffirm their commitment to building a resilient and entrepreneurial agricultural ecosystem in Ghana.

The Youth Elevate Agripreneurial Project is supported under KIC’s partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, aimed at empowering young people into dignified and fulfilling work, through the Initiative for Youth in Agricultural Transformation (IYAT) program.
