The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to deliberate on constitutional reforms during its upcoming Annual Delegates Conference scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025.

The conference, which will convene thousands of party members and stakeholders, is expected to be a pivotal moment in reshaping the party’s internal governance and strategic outlook for the 2028 general elections.

At a pre-conference briefing, NPP’s Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, confirmed that proposals from the Prof. Mike Oquaye Committee and an outstanding reform approved during the 2019 Kumasi Delegates Conference will be revisited and formally considered.

“That report, which has a package of amendments and proposals resulting from the Mike Oquaye Committee and submissions from party members, is part of the bundle of amendments that this conference will consider”.

The conference will take place under the theme: “Rebuilding Together With Our Values.” Ahiagbah credited the planning committee, led by Joseph Osei-Owusu and supported by Henry Nana Boakye, for working with dedication and vision.

“We thank them and the many others who are working tirelessly behind the scenes. Their efforts have shaped what we believe is a theme that can guide the NPP toward meaningful rebuilding”.

To promote neutrality and focus on policy debates, the party has placed a ban on campaign posters, branded T-shirts, and other promotional materials during the event.

Strict accreditation will be enforced for the more than 5,675 delegates expected.
