The MP for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has strongly denied allegations that he threatened bloodshed in the upcoming Akwatia by-election.

He asserts that he has always preached peace and unity, and violence has no place in his politics or democracy.

Rev. Fordjour described the claims as “false and malicious,” emphasizing that he has never incited violence or bloodshed in his political career.

The MP reaffirmed his consistent advocacy for peaceful elections and opposition to electoral violence, urging authorities to prosecute perpetrators to serve as a deterrent.

The Assin South legislator urged the public to disregard the false publications, warning that such fabrications damage reputations and jeopardize national stability.

According to him he had previously condemned violence, such as during the Ablekuma North election rerun, where he called for calm and reaffirmed the importance of peace and democratic engagement.

Rev. Ntim has also called for peace in Bawku, urging restraint and an end to attacks and reprisals to give peace efforts a chance.
