Residents of Ajumako Bisease, the hometown of Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, have expressed full confidence in his appointment as Acting Minister for Defence, following the passing of the Dr. Edward Omane Boamah.
President John Dramani Mahama appointed Dr. Forson to the position in addition to his existing role as Minister for Finance, after the tragic military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight individuals.
Community members described Dr. Forson as a dedicated and capable leader, expressing their belief that he will manage both ministerial roles with excellence.
“We are proud of him and know he will not disappoint the President or the nation,” one resident stated.
The people of Ajumako also mourned the loss of Dr. Omane Boamah and the other officials, describing them as national heroes who died in service to Ghana. They offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and called for their sacrifice to be remembered with action, not just words.
Dr. Ato Forson is an experienced politician and economist, widely respected for his leadership in public finance. His appointment comes at a critical time for the Defence Ministry as Ghana navigates national security and development priorities.
