The Grace for the World concert that was held on September 13th was St Peter Square’s premier concert performance. Pharrell Williams, a globally renowned music producer and songwriter, co-directed this global event with the World Meeting on Human Fraternity.

Before the event, Pharrell stated, “This is a rare cultural moment where the world stops and collectively tunes in. It is a message of unity and grace for all of humanity.”

Pharrell has known the Thornton brothers, also known as Clipse for many years, and used his part as co-director and executive producer to put their performance on the stage. Pusha T and No Malice graced the stage with their dapper suits and a live performance of their song “The Birds Don’t Sing” from their album Let God Sort Em Out alongside John Legend, a featured artist on the track.

Many other stars featured music at this legendary concert, including Jennifer Hudson, Jelly Roll, Teddy Swims, Karol G, John Legend, BamBam, and most notably, Maestro Andrea Bocelli.

Virtual and in-person viewers enjoyed live music from the various performers alongside a light show by Nova Sky Stories utilizing an aerial drone. The subject of the light show’s imagery was based on the Sistine Chapel, a marker of Vatican City.

Maestro Andrea Bocelli, an honored Italian operatic singer, shared his philosophy surrounding the Grace for the World concert: “Let us shine a spotlight on humanity with music from the very heart of Christianity and the most important spiritual square, reaching the entire world with a single message of brotherhood and peace.”

This concert was free for thousands of attendees who arrived before 8 PM local time. It was also livestreamed via ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu for viewers across the globe.
