The Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North, Joseph Kwasi Mensah, has officially launched the construction of 70 kilometers of roads in the Bono East Region, marking a major infrastructure milestone for the constituency.

The sod-cutting ceremony, at Bodom, was attended by Bono East Regional Minister Francis Owusu Antwi, local chiefs, party executives, and community members.

“These roads have long been a concern for me and my constituents. With support from President John Dramani Mahama and the Big Push initiative, we’re finally seeing action.”

The project, awarded to Nag Fair Mount Construction Engineering Ltd., will connect 21 communities including Bonte, Bomini, Busunya, Fiema, Boabeng, and Tanoboase, and serve as an alternative route to Nkoranza, Techiman, Kintampo, and Atebubu. Completion is expected within 18 months.

The Bono East Regional Minister Francis Owusu Antwi, emphasized quality and accountability.

“No shoddy work will be tolerated. This project is about connecting people, facilitating business, and ensuring safe travel.”

The initiative aligns with national infrastructure goals, as highlighted in the 2025 Midyear budget review.
