The Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection has announced that it is taking the necessary steps to facilitate the arrest of Charles Akwasi Aidoo, the Assistant Headmaster of KNUST Senior High School, following his alleged involvement in an inappropriate relationship with a female student.

Although the Ghana Education Service (GES), through the school’s authorities, has already suspended Mr. Aidoo, the Gender Ministry is working closely with the Ghana Police Service to ensure that he is brought to justice.

Speaking during the Vice President’s working visit to the Ministry, the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, assured the public that her outfit is committed to protecting students from abuse and ensuring accountability for such actions.

The Minister also used the occasion to launch this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign.

Meanwhile, Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in strengthening Ghana’s social protection systems. She emphasized that protecting the vulnerable is crucial for national development and long-term progress.
