The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tano North Constituency has accused the area’s Member of Parliament, Dr. Gideon Boako, of allegedly sabotaging key development initiatives within the constituency.

According to the NDC’s Deputy Communications Officer, Kwame Osei Boateng, Dr. Boako has failed to deliver on his campaign promises and is responsible for hindering some projects initiated by former MP Freda Prempeh.

Addressing a press conference, Mr. Boateng alleged that several road projects announced by the MP including the Bomaa-Nkwanta, Bomaa–Tepa, and Bomaa–Yamfo stretches were launched but never completed.

“Dr. Boako has made numerous promises regarding road construction, but residents continue to suffer due to poor infrastructure,” Mr. Boateng stated.

He further expressed confidence in President John Dramani Mahama’s “Big Push” agenda, saying it would bring renewed focus to road and infrastructure development in the constituency and across the country.

The NDC also raised concern over the delivery of DRIP irrigation machines to the municipality, claiming that the equipment arrived without trained personnel to operate them. Mr. Boateng, however, noted that some selected individuals are currently undergoing training and are expected to return next month to begin operations.
