The Dormaa Central Municipal Education Director, Rev. Father Kingsley Dwamena Asante, has urged newly admitted Senior High School students to remain focused on their studies and make wise choices in their social circles to secure a bright future.

Speaking to the freshers, Rev. Father Dwamena Asante reminded them that their primary goal in school is academic excellence, and this can only be achieved through discipline, hard work, and a positive attitude toward learning.

He cautioned the students to avoid peers whose behaviors could distract or derail their educational progress.

According to him, friendships play a crucial role in shaping students’ academic performance and personal development, either positively or negatively. He advised them to associate with individuals who will inspire and support their academic ambitions.

The Education Director also appealed to parents to continue playing an active role in their children’s education despite the government’s Free Senior High School policy.

He explained that while the initiative has eased the financial burden on families, parental support both financial and emotional remains vital to the success of students.

Rev. Father Dwamena Asante further encouraged parents and guardians to maintain close relationships with their children, listen to their challenges, and provide sound guidance to help them navigate their new academic environment successfully.
