Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Food and Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO), Abdul-Wahab Hanan Aludiba, has dismissed corruption allegations leveled against him by the Attorney General, describing them as “untrue” and “deeply unfortunate.”

In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 22, Mr. Aludiba firmly denied any involvement in the matters raised by the Attorney General and indicated that his legal team has been instructed to take necessary steps to protect his reputation.

“I wish to state, respectfully, that these claims are untrue and do not reflect the facts of the matter. I have no involvement in the issues being referred to, and I find the comments deeply unfortunate,” the statement read.

He further noted that his lawyers are reviewing the situation and will determine appropriate legal action, including the option of seeking redress through the courts.

Expressing confidence in the judicial process, Mr. Aludiba said he looks forward to clearing his name.

“I look forward to the opportunity to present my side and to have my day in court, where I am confident that the truth will be made clear,” he added.

His response follows public remarks made by Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine during a press briefing in Accra, held as part of the Government Accountability Series organized by the Presidency’s Communications Directorate. Dr. Ayine reportedly linked the former NAFCO boss to alleged corruption and the acquisition of luxury assets through misappropriated public funds.

Mr. Aludiba was arrested by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on June 25, 2025, alongside his wife, over allegations of large-scale financial misconduct during his tenure. He was later granted bail of GH¢60 million with two sureties after being detained for two weeks.

Reaffirming his integrity, Mr. Aludiba emphasized that he has always conducted himself with honesty and transparency throughout his public service career.
