The campaign team of Dr. Bryan Acheampong, a flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has responded to what it describes as “false and baseless claims” made by a group of Ashanti Regional NPP youth organizers aligned with former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Acheampong campaign said it had “taken note” of a press conference held by the youth group, which it claimed included the names of some individuals who were unaware of the event and even one who is deceased.

The statement described the press conference as “laced with unfortunate insults and baseless accusations” targeted at Dr. Acheampong.

“Out of respect for our shared commitment to a united NPP and in line with the values of Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s campaign, we will not dignify these provocations with a response,” the campaign stated.

It further referenced a recent meeting between aspirants and former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, emphasizing that all aspirants reaffirmed their dedication to peace and unity within the party.

The campaign urged its supporters nationwide to remain calm and not engage in verbal confrontations.

“Do not engage, do not respond, and do not return insults,” the statement advised.

According to the campaign, its focus remains on “engaging delegates with respect, advancing ideas that strengthen the NPP, and preparing the party for a decisive victory in 2028.”

The statement expressed gratitude to Asanteman and supporters across the country for their “massive and continued confidence” in Dr. Acheampong’s leadership.
