The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has announced that former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and seven others will be arraigned before court on Monday, 24 November 2025, to face multiple corruption-related charges.

In a public update on Thursday, the OSP said the accused persons will be presented in the case titled: “The Republic v Ken Ofori-Atta & 7 Others.”

According to the statement, the suspects are facing a combined 78 counts of corruption and corruption-related offences. The charges stem from separate roles they allegedly played in public office, particularly within the Ministry of Finance and Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

The accused persons and their respective counts include:

Ken Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta – Former Minister of Finance (28 counts)

Isaac Crentsil – Former Commissioner of Customs, GRA (19 counts)

Ernest Darko Akom – Former Chief of Cabinet to Ofori-Atta (12 counts)

Kwadwo Damoah – Former Customs Commissioner and MP for Jaman South (8 counts)

Emmanuel Kofi Nti – Former Commissioner-General of GRA (39 counts)

Evans Adusei – Chief Executive of SML (19 counts)

Two additional persons/entities face 10 and 18 counts respectively, bringing the total to 78 counts.

The OSP added that it will seek a court order to serve charge sheets on suspects currently outside Ghana’s jurisdiction, describing them as fugitives.

“The Prosecution will seek the necessary court orders for service of the charge sheet on the fugitives who are outside of the jurisdiction,” the statement noted.

The case is expected to attract intense national attention, marking one of the largest corruption prosecutions since the establishment of the OSP.
