The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 13 new cases of Mpox, bringing the country’s total number of confirmed infections to 993 as of January 25, 2026.
According to the latest Mpox update released by the GHS on Tuesday, February 3, no new deaths were recorded within the reporting period, keeping the national death toll at seven.
The Service also indicated that there are currently no patients on admission.
GHS explained that Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with an infected person and continues to urge the public to take preventive measures to reduce transmission.
These include maintaining good personal hygiene and avoiding close contact with individuals showing symptoms of the disease.
Members of the public have been advised to be on the lookout for symptoms such as fever, rash, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, chills, and general tiredness.
Anyone experiencing these symptoms is encouraged to report promptly to the nearest health facility for assessment and treatment.
The Ghana Health Service reaffirmed its commitment to surveillance, public education, and timely response, while calling on citizens to cooperate fully with health authorities to help contain the spread of Mpox nationwide.
