The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has rolled out an upgraded electronic payslip system for all government employees on the National Payroll, a move aimed at enhancing transparency, security and ease of access to payroll information.

Under the new system, employees are required to log in using their National Identification Authority (NIA) numbers, a measure designed to safeguard personal payroll data while ensuring accuracy across the payroll database.

Officials say the initiative forms part of broader efforts to modernise government payroll management systems and strengthen accountability in public sector wage administration.

To register and access the platform, employees are required to follow these steps:

1. Visit https://gogepayslipgh.com

2. Click on “Forgot Password”

3. Enter your employee number

4. Input your Ghana Card number for verification

5. Confirm your email address and add or edit your phone number (mandatory)

6. Add an alternate email address (optional)

7. Verify your phone number using the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to you

8. Create and confirm a new password

9. Select a security question and provide a confidential answer

10. Review and confirm all details on the summary page

11. Tick the confirmation checkbox and click Register to complete the process

To support a smooth transition, the CAGD has made a detailed instructional guide available online and set up dedicated helplines for staff who may need assistance.

Employees can reach support services via 0302 354 795, 0303 547 951, 0247 360 841, 0245 211 977, or 0246 963 301.

The department has encouraged all government workers to complete their registration promptly to enjoy uninterrupted access to their payslips under the new system.
