Ghana’s captain and talisman, Asamoah Gyan will open the first phase of his astro turf today (Tuesday) Juky 18, 2017.
The new Kayserispor signing is still in Ghana and is working his way on opening the Pitch which he put up for his alma mater Accra Academy school.
Gyan who has never hidden his desire and love for the school where his talent was discovered and watered sees this as an opportunity to give back to a place everything started for him.
Having risen through the dusty pitches and played at the highest level, with some of the best in the World-he is expected to use the facility to give opportunity to the millions who will have the dream of playing football.
Gyan has divided opinion since he first kicked a ball but his numbers for Ghana place him as the highest goal scorer for the West African country with 51 goals in a little over 100 games.
