"GEORGE AFRIYIE MUST STEP DOWN AS GFA VICE PRESIDENT"- EXCO MEMBER SUGGESTS

Central Regional Football Association Chairman, MNS DOE, has called for the resignation of Ghana Football Association (GFA) vice president George Afriyie to step down from his position.
This call follows the feud simmering between the two most powerful men in Ghana football, President Kwasi Nyantakyi and his vice, George Afriyie who clearly have a bad blood running between them.
According to MNS Doe, who spoke on Happy FM‘s Anopa Bosuo Sports, George Afriyie must do the honourable thing by resigning from his position so that the association can be run smoothly since their rift will not help the course of the Football Association.
“George Afriyie must do the honourable thing by resigning as the vice president of GFA. If the president and his vice don’t have a good relationship, things will stale at the association. The Sport’s Minister can not say he has solved the issue by just talking to the parties. The rift is deeper than he thinks, and the minister’s action is just a superficial attempt at solving the problem. Solving this rift will demand more than just what the minister has done.” M.N.S Doe said on Happy FM.
Afriyie, who assumed office in 2015, has two years left on his four year term as GFA veep, after succeeding Fred Crentsil.
