SCRIPT WRITERS ARE NOT CREATIVE – STACY AMOATENG

Celebrated television presenter Stacy Amoateng has thrown shades at script writers, labeling them as not creative.
Speaking to Eugene Baah, producer of Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra hosted by Dr Cann, Stacy asserted that the industry players are those killing the movies industry.
“We are killing the industry ourselves. I always don’t get it when they say the movie industry is dying or fading out. It is our own doing that is making the industry fade out. Why do I say this? ” These days script writers don’t want to be creative and they feel like, they can just wake up and do anything and put it out there”. Stacy intimated.
Stacy, who was recently awarded honorary degree in media relations by Great Achievers University College in Spain added that, “it is our own behaviour that is making the industry fade out. Why am I saying this? These days, script writers don’t want to be creative and they feel like they can just wake up and do anything and put it out there”.
She cited, ” It is not like the olden days. Now because of social media, people are exposed to so many things for instance, if you put a local content on TV and you call it a TV series and it’s not interesting , people will go for other alternatives that might interest them”, she disclosed.
The winner for most entertaining women in the RTP awards 2011, 2015, and 2016 respectively added that the fight should start from industry players who must know and understand where our faults are and build on it because we are killing the industry our selves”,she clarified.
