Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah expects his depleted squad to meet expectations against Uganda on Saturday in a crucial 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Appiah has lost key players captain Asamoah Gyan, Thomas Agyepong and Columbus Crew duo Harrison Afful and Jonathan Mensah.
He also left out Ayew brothers Andre and Jordan of Swansea City.
Sweden-based rising talent Kingsley Sarfo, Isaac Twum of Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies and Young Boys defender Kassim Adams are new faces introduced.
Despite lacking high profile matches, Appiah is demanding more from the players called up.
”Players that are in now, their confidence levels are rising slowly and for that reason I believe when they go out there, there’s no too much pressure on them still they are able to express themselves,” Appiah said during the team’s training at the Kasarani.
Ghana’s will end their training camp in Kenya on Thursday after three days of practice.
