The Deputy National Organizer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Akamba has described the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as a 419 president who rose to the presidency on the back of lies.
He said the president in opposition promised to reduce electricity tariffs but almost ten months into reign, the tariffs on electricity has since not been reduced.
He noted the president in opposition promised free Senior Secondary School (SHS) but came to power to only to implement free SHS for the form one student across the country.
Aside this, he (Nana Addo) had increased the fees of the continuing students in form two and three he stressed.
Mr. Akamba gave this description of the president when he appeared as a panellist on Happy FM‘s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ afternoon socio-political show hosted by Kwame Afrifa Mensah in Accra.
According to him, the president has not made a reality the numerous promises he gave during the last elections.
Whereas the continuing SHS students are crying so, is general public crying also over the president’s failure to reduce the high electricity tariffs in the country he noted.
He further stated that only time chiefs in this country are disgraced is when the NPP is in power.
‘Am not surprise this is happening to the Asantehene because it has always been the trademark of the NPP’.
He called on the NPP to offer an unqualified apology to Otumfour Osei Tutu II for bringing his name to disrepute in the said alleged money laundering scandal in the United Kingdom.
