The Eastern regional chairman of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dared the rank and file of the party to tell the whole world how much the party spent on the humiliating parliamentary and presidential elections.
According to Mr. Tawiah Boateng, the executives should come out and tell the world how much the party expended on the last elections.
The visibly mad regional scribe of the party made this statement in reaction to a Daily Guide’s publication that he squandered one million Ghana Cedis meant for the last campaign that saw the governing NDC losing power to the opposition New Patriotic Party in the last elections.
According reports, contained in the Prof. Kwesi Botchwey’ committee report a whopping amount of one million Ghana Cedis meant for oiling the wheels of the NDC campaign vehicle was diverted by the regional party chairman.
‘My brother is raining heavily here in Koforidua but i have managed to get my lawyer’s office for a suit to be prepared against Daily Guide for tarnishing my reputation’.
Mr. Tawiah Boateng told the host of the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ afternoon’s socio-political programme Kwame Afrifa Mensah on Accra –based Happy FM.
He said the best thing is for the party leadership to come out and tell the world the amount of money they spent on the last elections before anybody can be accused of squandering cash meant for the campaign.
He said he is waiting patiently for the National Executive members of the party to tell the world how much the party spent on the last elections before he can be accused of any wrong doings as the leader of the party in the region.
