The 6th Norlympics Taekwondo Children Open Championships 2017 will come off on 27th to 28th October, 2017 at the sports hall, Accra Sports Stadium.
The competition starts 8:00 am each day with competitors ranging between the ages of ages 5 and 13.
The chairman of the Greater Accra Taekwondo Association, Mr.Norbert Amefu confirmed in an interview on Happy FM that everything is set to kick off the competition on Friday and Saturday and again assured Taekwondo loving fans that,this year’s edition will be more interesting than the previous five years because the rate at which the kids are registering is unbelievable.
“Everything is ready to start the competition on Friday and Saturday. It look like the numbers have increased. The numbers keep increasing everyday and it certainly will get to about 800 competitors which will be more than the previous years.” He stated.
He added that, ” the usual awards will be given to deserving winners. We will reward the best female fighter and the best male fighter with either a fridge or a bicycle plus certificates ,medals and cash prize.”
