Celebrated highlife artise Kwabena Kwabena has heaped praises on Kuami Eugene, Kurl Songz and Kidi while professing his love for the trio.
The ‘Angela’, ‘Jennifer Lomotey’ and ‘Odo’ hitmakers respectively, received tons of applause from Kwabena Kwabena as he expressed his elation that rap is sinking because of how well they are singing.
Speaking in a telephone interview with Mercy Bee, producer of Ayekoo After Drive, Kwabena Kwabena intimated that he will be disappointed in the trio if they don’t play live band but resort to DJs playing their songs while they mime.
”I am very happy because I think there are some emerging singers and rap is going down. I know of Kidi, I know of Kuami Eugene and Kurl Songz. There are most of these guys coming up and my prayer is that they focus and concentrate and write more good music and rehearse as good vocalists. I wish I’ll not see these people with a DJ standing behind them on stage while they mime. I only wish they will do live band music because I believe they are singers and they need to get on.” Kwabena Kwabena told Happy FM.
