President of Hungary Olympics Committee Krisztian Kulcsar has promised to support the Ghana Fencing Association with technical support.
This decision was reached at meeting between Krisztian Kulcsar and the Ghana Fencing Association president Mohammed Mahadi in Hungary to discuss the way forward for Ghana fencing.
In an exclusive interview with Happy FM, Mohammed Mahadi stated that, “I had a meeting with Mr Krisztian Kulcsar and he has agreed to support Ghana Fencing in the technical area next year. This arrangement was done long ago between me and Hungarian ambassador to Ghana Andras Szabo to support Ghana fencing. Their expert will be in Ghana to visit the facilities we have.” He said.
“The former Olympics medalist Mr Krisztian Kulcsar who doubles as sports director of the International Fencing Federation has a lot of knowledge in fencing so we have invited him to come and support the 2nd edition of the Hungarian Ambassador Cup that will be held in the middle of next year.” He added.
According to Mahadi, he also discussed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) which will also help other federations too.
“I pleaded with him to support other federations too and not only Ghana fencing so I’m sure he and Ghana Olympics Committee president Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah will sign the (MOU) when he visits Ghana next year,” Mohammed Mahadi noted.
Mr Mahadi is expected to be in Ghana by next month to continue the preparation for the next year.
