The former governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North in the Greater Accra Region has taken a swipe at the managers of the Economic and Organized Crime Officer (EOCO) for the disgrace they brought upon themselves in the matter involving the Deputy Commissioner of the Electoral Commission and two others.
According Joe Appiah, these stupidity and ignorance on the part of the state investigative bodies must stop.
He said these state agencies must know better in terms of handling their investigations.
Their actions are becoming a disgraceful and shameful to the president and his administration he said.
In this modern day what do you need a ‘Rambo’ style of arrest for, these people  must be told of the disgrace they are gradually bringing onto the image of the president he said.
Joe Appiah chided the management of EOCO  on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
He said when news got to him that the three officers of the elections management body namely Georgina Opoku Amankwa, Electoral Commission’s Chief Accountant; Kwaku Owusu Agyei-Larbi and EC’s Finance Officer Kwaku Asamoah have been cleared of any wrong doing by the EOCO.
I know the EC Chief Accountant very well and i don’t believe he will be involved in any four hundred and eighty Ghana Cedis misappropriation of funds meant for the workers of the EC.
He said it about time the EOCO and the police service shed themselves off the crook means of arresting innocent people in the country during their investigations.
He said their style of operations are primitive adding that in this modern day why will people be arrested in churches, airplane among others.
