Ga mantse receives IBO world light weight champion

The International Boxing Organization (IBO) world tittle holder, Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’  Tagoe yesterday paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II at the stool house in Abola, a suburb in the Odododiodiodio constituency of the Greater Accra region.
The boxer having defended successfully, the only World Title in Ghana currently, which he won last year was at the king’s palace to present the title to him.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony the Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II said during the bout it was  evidently clear that the opponent had no answer to Game Boy’s punching until the Referee of the match helped him by stopping the match in the tenth round.
According to him, the heroic performance of Game Boy was ignited by his camp who has constantly been up and about with him.
His manager, Mr. Sammy Anim Addo on his part said they have a lot of faith and confidence in their boxer and are determined to hoist him and his style of fighting to the world.
The former Black Stars giant, Baffour Gyan and senior brother of Black Stars Skipper ‘Baby Jet’ Asamoah Gyan who accompanied Game Boy  to the palace spoke passionately about lifting boxing sports to the height Ghanaians want it in the country.
Baby Jet Promotions and all members of the boxer’s team will do all they can to ensure that Ghana gets more laurels in the sports industry he remarked.
He took the opportunity to  thank the Ga Mantse Tackie Teiko Tsuru II for presenting Game Boy with a crystal plaque and for wishing him well in all his future fights.
The Ga Mantse  Awards will be presented to all who excel in their works and hail the Ga State in the following months to come after the launch of a Girls’ Education Endowment Fund on March 6.
Emmanuel Game Boy Tagoe is to be  the first received the highest of the awards being the Order of  the  Katamansu.
The Katamansu category awards are very special and it connotes with very high achievements as has been done by Game Boy.
