Dr. Bawumia not a true Muslim-NDC

A member of the communications team of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken the sitting Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, to the cleanest over his decision to celebrate Valentine’s Day when all Muslims have refused to do so.
A couple  of days ago the world marked Valentine’s day to express love to each other but Dr. Bawumia as a Muslim participated in the exercise against the tenets of his religion by sending a bouquet of flowers to his wife; Samira Bawumia and making public.
It is against this  backdrop that Asafo Adjei, the aspiring regional Youth Organizer of the NDC challenged his Muslim credentials.
According to the NDC regional Youth Organizer hopeful the credentials of the Vice President must be challenged by the Islamic clergy.
‘It is about time the Muslim clergy question his admission of the Islamic sect in the position of Vice president in the country’ .
The young lad took the Vice President on heavily by challenging him to show commitment to Islam on  Accra-based Happy FM’s socio-political show dubbed ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah.
He said what the Vice President did by sending a bouquet of flowers to wife was unacceptable in Islam.
He wondered whether  it was the same gentleman who prior to the 2016 elections told the Muslim community to vote a Quran into the Flag Staff House to protect the interest of Muslims at the presidency.
He said the Vice President’s behaviour is unacceptable in the principles of Islam calling on the Muslim clergy to take a decision on the double standards of the second most powerful gentleman of the land.
The Vice President going public by celebrating Valentine’s Day is a clear indication he has thrown away his Muslim principles upon assuming the high office of the land.
He minces no words to say the Vice President is a disgrace to the Muslim community by engaging in acts that is barred by the founder of Islam.
