The former Member of Parliament (MP) for La-Dadetopon on the ticket of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region has indicated his preparedness to support the bid of the wife of the former president Jerry John Rawlings, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings as the presidential candidate of the party.
According to Nii Amassa Namoale, the tables would have changed by now if the wife of the leader and founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was leading the party.
It could be recalled that the wife of the founder resigned from the NDC to form her own political party after she suffered a debilitating defeat from the Get Atta-Mills Elected(GAME) campaign team in 2010
If the wife of the ex-president was in the party, the political terrain would have changed by now he explained.
I will support the ex-president’s wife anytime any day as the leader of the NDC he vowed.
Nii Namoale made this comment on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
He said the wife of the ex-president as the NDC’s candidate for the 2020 elections would have been interesting in the history of Ghana.
The man who is canvassing for votes for the candidature of the former Vice Chancellor of University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), Prof Joshua Alabi says he will support the candidature of the wife of the ex-president anytime if she were to be in the NDC and gunning for the position like she did in 2010 primary of the party.
He said the woman has been at the forefront of championing gender issues since the eighties in the country and he understands the issues that affect Ghanaians.
