The Deputy Director of Communications of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kweku Boahen has served a strong notice that,a government of NDC in 2020 will bring pressure to bear on the Special Prosecutor’s office to investigate the circumstance surrounding Bulk Oil Storage and Transport (BOST) fuel contamination saga.
If Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will not allow the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu to investigate BOST fuel contamination saga, an NDC government in 2020 will do so without any hesitation he said.
And we will not shield anybody in the fuel contamination saga if it is even the president himself he stressed.
Kweku Boahen made this comment as a panelist on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show on Accra-based Happy FM hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah.
According to him, the Special Prosecutor may not be investigating the fuel saga because of the good will of his appointment; but the NDC government will push him to investigate the saga and bring finality to matter he posited.
He said the NPP cannot exonerate itself from being the most corrupt government in the history of the 1992 Constitutional dispensation.
Barely two years of the reign of NPP, has the country dropped drastically on the Public Perception Index on corruption he noted.
This is the worst corruption perception index recorded in the history of the country and it can only happen under NPP’s administration.
This cannot never happen under any NDC government i can promise you adding the party in government worked to reduce people’s perception about corruption in government.
