‘I'm Surprised About Opuni’s Charges- Member Of NDC Legal Team

A member of the legal team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Victor Kojoga Adawudu has laughed off the charges referred by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) against the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of COCOBOD, Dr. Stephen Opuni.
The NPP made it clear they thirst for the prosecution of the former CEO hence their decision to hound him out of office and vilify him in the media he argued.
He claimed that the kind of charges and offences brought against the former COCOBOD CEO and Seidu Agongo of the agriculture firm is a clear indication the governing NPP is on a fishing expedition.
The NPP is on a wild goose chase I can tell you for a fact he told Osofo Nyansa Boakwa on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ the socio-political show on Accra-based Happy FM.
He claimed that some of the charges and offence are laughable the very moment any learned person reads them.
He questioned why the party will put the charge sheet of a case it intends pursuing to fight corruption in the traditional media and on social media when the accused persons have not seen it.
Are court cases done in the public domain and in the media? He added
He stressed that this is a case to cover up the stinking Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) under the leadership of the current CEO, Obeng Baah.
This is just a cover-up trial of the stinking deals being uncovered by the Minority in Parliament only a year into the administration of the NPP led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
