Women’s League To Start Immediately After GPL- Nyantakyi

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi has stated that the women’s top flight league will commence immediately after the men’s league kicks off.
The Ghana which was supposed to begin last month was called off indefinitely after Great Olympics served the Ghana Football Association with a court injunction letter.
The Wonder Club claimed that the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA failed to give them a fair hearing in their protest filed against Bechem United after fielding an unqualified player.
However, refreshing news went widespread on Thursday when the court dismissed their quest for an injunction on the start of the competition, clearing the path for the top-flight matches to commence.
And during an interview with Happy FM’s Ayishatu Zakaria, the nation’s football governing body head assured that the women’s elite division league will take off just after the men’s begins.
“The Women’s novelty league can’t commence if the GPL hasn’t,” Nyantakyi intimated.
“The Women’s league will commence immediately after the GPL starts.”
“We have been waiting for the ruling but I think all is set to go ahead now.”
The last season championship saw Ampem Darkoa ladies crowned as winners after defeating Ladystrikers ladies in the grand finale.
