Communications member of the opposition National Democratic Congress Godwin Ako Gunn has urged Ghanaians to rubbish the fresh reports of the Center for Democratic Development (CDD) that if election is held today the NDC will lose in a large margin to the ruling party NPP.
CDD in a fresh reports has revealed that a relatively large number of Ghanaians trust the NPP and will be in a lead should elections be held today.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show, the maverick politician insisted that the said report is one of the political tricks and gimmicks orchestrated by the ruling party (NPP) to tame the spirits of their party supporters.
“I Ako Gunn, I have been in power before and I know when an independent organization is being influenced or founded by a political party, this report is funded by NPP and Ghanaians must rubbish It,” Ako Gunn told Happy FM.
Afrobarometer is a non-partisan research organization that conducts research into governance, economic and democratic conditions.
The organization in collaboration with CDD has released a report that had 49% respondents (Ghanaians) pledging their support for the NPP as against 22% for the opposition NDC party.
