Bayern Munich defender Joshua Kimmich assures Ghanaian fans of victory over Real Madrid

Bayern Munich right-back Joshua Kimmich has assured their Ghanaian fans to expect an overwhelming victory over Real Madrid in the semifinal stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Die Roten will welcome Spanish side Real Madrid to the Allianz Stadion in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal clash on Wednesday.
Real Madrid are the bookies favourite to advance to the final ahead of the German champions following their exploits in the competition over the past two seasons – becoming the first club to clinch the coveted trophy back-to-back.
“I know we have a lot of fans in Africa especially Ghana because of Sammy [Kuffour], they should be hopeful, we will try to win for them, the match is very important for us,” Kimmich stated on Oyerepa FM.
“I am grateful to Pep [Guardiola], he built my confidence for the champions league.”
Kimmich may be just 22, but he is already regarded as the finest right-sided defender of his generation – the present and future of the German game.
Meanwhile, Austrian-born of Nigerian descent David Alaba, intimated that they will go into the encounter with a positive attitude as they are not thinking of avenging last season’s controversial quarter final loss against Los Merengues.
“I can’t say whether it’s revenge or not, we only want to go into the game with a positive mindset. We are on course to win the treble and I know our fans in Ghana will be happy,” Alaba deduced.
Alaba is a serious doubt for the match after suffering a thigh injury a fortnight ago,
Bayern have won the UEFA Champions League five times while Real Madrid have emerged winners a record twelve times.
