Veteran Ghanaian actor and producer, Frimpong Manso known in showbiz as Osofo Dadzie has expressed his displeasure for the new crop of actors for not coming to them for advice. He also said he is not a fan of Kumawood movies and has never paid attention to it.
He said in an interview at Super OD’s final funeral rites at Abodom in the Central region that the current crop of actors have adopted the habit of using profane language on screen. An attitude which makes Kumawood movies hard to watch.
“In our days, you dare not use insulting words like bullshit. ” Osofo Dadzie stated
He advised young actors to follow in the footsteps of the forerunners in the movie industry and work like them to get love and approval from everyone and not just a section of people in the society.
“They should watch our footsteps and learn from us. That is what will make them progress in the industry. What are they doing now…?”he queried.
In light of this, he advised that their doors are always open for the young ones to enter for advice.
“I am the only one left in the Osofo Dadzie group. They don’t come for advice but we are the pioneers. They have to come and see us but they don’t come,”he said.
He further adjured wealthy and influential people in the society to support the Kumawood industry.
Osofo Dadzie was once the producer of the popular drama show ‘Akan Drama’.
His ‘Osofo Dadzie’ drama group consisted of some pioneers like S.K Oppong, Bea Kissi, Super OD among others, all of blessed memory.
