Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah, popularly known in the music industry as Akwaboah Jnr, has stated bitterly that the Ghanaian media continuously publish false information about his father.
Responding to a question by DJ Advicer on Happy FM’s Ayekoo After Drive Show on the health situation of his father, Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr, who is a veteran high life musician, Akwaboah Jnr descended heavily on the media for publishing endless fake reports about his father.
“My father is doing very well, the media talks too much,” Akwaboah fumed on Happy FM.
“I have been talking to him and the last time I visited him was about three to four weeks ago, I have someone that takes care of him.”
“Very soon I will do my concert and perform live with him again.”
Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr, who is now visually impaired but is hopeful of having his sight restored has six albums to his credit.
He is a talented pianist and singer belonging to a family of great talents. His father, Kwabena Akwaboah Snr was a revered highlife musician, teacher and mentor to many of Ghana’s great musicians.
