2012 Presidential Candidate for the United Front Party (UFP), Akwasi Addai Odike, has said that ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye P.I have lost its credibility.
In an interview with Kwame Afrifa Mensah host of Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show Mr Akwasi Addai said “Anas has lost his credibility as investigative journalist, because what he and his team did is a clear indications that they want to bring Nyantakyi down, but I can tell you that Nyantakyi will be exonerated. You can trap or force me to accept money and latter video me and say that I’m corrupt.”
“If Anas wanted to do an investigative work, they are rules he should follow, there is a difference between investigating a an alleged corruption which the person is caught in doing but not for him [Anas] to have rather initiated the process like he allegedly bribe the judges and capture them with his cameras, It’s not allowed by the law, it is not proper, we must not encourage it.”
“Kwasi Nyantakyi did no wrong, we all use the President’s name to eat, if I get the opportunity, I will use the president’s name to eat. We call them lobbyist and we all do same.”
“When my white business friends came from Germany, I sent them to President Mahama and yeah, I benefited we all benefited.”
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, 22 May, reported the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police service after having had the opportunity watch investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas Number 12 undercover documentary.
