Head coach of Spanish second-division side Real Oviedo, Juan Antonio Anquela has confirmed that his outfit are in talks to sign Ghanaian midfielder Richard Boateng from UD Melilla.
Reports went rife that a deal between the two clubs was at an advanced stage with only minor details of the contract left to be ironed out.
“Of course, you already know everything, I’m not going to say no” Anquela replied when asked about his club’s interest in the former Liberty Professionals midfielder.
The 25 year old managed 35 appearances for Melilla this campaign including 25 starts, scoring an impressive 14 goals in the process- one of which was voted the best of the season in Group IV of Segunda B.
