Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South, Alfred Oko Vanderpuye has called on Ghanaians to ask for spiritual guidance from God in every decision they take.
According to him, people appointed into government to serve the country need to to ask the Holy Spirit to guide them even before interacting with strangers or people they know.
Speaking at the premier of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ ‘Number 12’ investigative piece, Oko Vanderpuye urged all government appointees to put Ghana first at all times when discharging their duties.
He added that in as much as there are laws governing our actions and inaction in the country, the ability to abide by every stipulated law depends on prayers.
“We already have laws but the ability to abide by the laws is not dependent on the flesh but by the Spirit of God,” Mr Vanderpuye stated.
He emphasized that one needs a second level of spiritual growth to be able to have good interactions with people.
Mr Vanderpuye has served was the former Mayor of Accra.
