Wilfred Palmer: "Nyantakyi hasn't been himself after Anas' exposé"

Former Ghana Football Association Executive Committee member, Wilfred Osei Kweku Palmer has said the embattled former president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, is not doing well psychologically.
This follows a suggestion made by renowned psychologist Dr Patrick Ofori that the beleaguered former Ghana FA president needs a broader recommendation to help him overcome the current trauma he is going through.
According to Osei Palmer on Happy FM‘s Anopa Bosuo Sports, his former boss’ demeanour clearly showed that he has been adversely affected by the Number 12 from investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
“I was with Kwesi on Sunday. He is not in good spirit and it’s understandable. If it were to be me I will feel the same. If you can use the 10 or 15 minutes video to judge him then we are not being fair to the man. All his 13 years achievement has gone down the drain with this 15 minutes video so naturally he would not be a happy man.”
“Look at how he toiled as FA boss to develop our football but for someone to use his voracity to tarnish his image, is very unfortunate, It’s difficult to swallow.”
“Some of us will use what has happened to him as a lesson; it’s sad but as we say such is life.”
Nyantakyi began to make meaningful impact at CAF executive meetings and was deservedly made the first Vice President of CAF last year meaning his exploits as the President of the FA were not unnoticed.
About 100 referees, GFA officials including its boss Kwesi Nyantakyi, and National Sports Authority officials have been implicated in the recent exposé by undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The officials are seen on tape receiving various gifts including cash, and food items in order to either skew matches in favour of one team or to manipulate selection processes into the Senior National team.
